A press review is a compilation of current articles and contributions from various press products, such as newspapers, magazines and increasingly also online publications. It is regularly compiled in companies, authorities, associations and other institutions to inform employees or members.
The preparation and dissemination of press reviews is often done internally by the responsible department in an organisation. Alternatively, an external service provider – such as a clipping service – selects the articles and compiles them into a press review according to the client’s content specifications.
In contrast to the press review, which summarises messages from current media reports editorially, the press review collects media reports in the form of clippings.
Press reviews can be produced and distributed in paper form or digitally.
